The world of aviation has generated some of the most interesting events in twentieth century history. It has also generated some of the most oddly interesting applications of the law because aviation, as an industry and an activity, contains elements of contract law, technical law (patents, trade names, trademarks, etc.), licensing, enforcement, constitutional law (the Feds just grabbed nearly all the navigable airspace in the country under color of “Homeland Security”), and many others.
